Lisa Marie Presley, a famous singer-songwriter in her own right and the only child of the legendary musician Elvis Presley passed away due to a medical emergency at the age of just 54. Owing to a sudden medical emergency, details of which have not been disclosed yet, Lisa was admitted to a local hospital in California, where she breathed her last breath.

Born in 1968, Lisa Marie Presley – a singer and songwriter of American origin, was the daughter and only child of the legendary King of rock’n’roll, Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley, an actress of immense fame. Having followed in her father’s footsteps, Lisa Marie released her first music album in 2003 and subsequently released two more (in 2005 and 2012). Having always shared a close equation with her father, even post her parent’s separation, Lisa Marie Presley was the inheritor of her father’s $100 million estate, of which she sold as much as 85% in 2004.

Lisa Marie Presley was first married to Danny Keough, a musician, with whom she had two children. Then, after a marriage that lasted six years, she went on to marry Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, but quickly separated from him in a span of two years. After this, she was briefly married to Hollywood superstar Nicholas Cage, but they, too, parted ways in just four months. Finally, in 2006, she married her guitarist/music producer Michael Lockwood, with whom she had twin children, and remained married for fifteen years before separating in 2021.

Lisa’s final public appearance was on the 10th of January 2023, at the Golden Globe Awards, which she attended with her mother, Priscilla Presley.

Although, the details for Lisa Marie Presley casket and funeral are not out for the general public yet, but speculations are being made that the Lisa Marie Presley will have an open casket ceremony just like her father Elvis Presley. After Elvis Presley's death on August 16, 1977, his body was embalmed and placed in a copper-lined casket. The casket was a solid copper casket with a copper interior that and the casket was lined with a pink satin interior. The ceremony was open casket so that Presley's fans could view his body during the public viewing at Graceland.

The casket of Elvis Presley was later moved to Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, where Presley was originally buried. However, in 1978, his father, Vernon Presley, had his son's remains exhumed and moved to the Meditation Garden at Graceland, where they remain to this day.

There will be a public memorial service for Lisa Marie on Sunday, January 22. However, instead of flowers, the family has requested to donate to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation instead of offering flowers.

A representative for Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter, actress Riley Keough, told The Associated Press that Presley will be buried at Graceland — her father’s famed estate in Memphis. She will be buried next to her son, Benjamin.
